Local castle-hiking in France

we walked to this one over and over, during our 20 years with a home in France;

it was 30 minutes by rental car from our house;

it still looked like a castle (we were suckers for crenellations; + it had that real-castle smell;

it was a good hike, just strenuous enough (bring water; the surrounding herbal hills are solar panels in disguise)

Office file drawer was locked & key lost [just before Key West] ...

... it took me two paperclips, pliers, a couple of hours of online videos and lots of jiggling ...

... and suddenly,

voila!, the darn thing opened.
