...between "training" and "teaching." "Training" is saying the facts. "Teaching" is when people reasonably understand the principles and start to practice them with confidence and desire. I "taught" for the first time this past Friday, in a windowless room located five floors above downtown Worcester, MA, thanks to an NPR report. It demonstrated - a Harvard physics professor with a lovely accent talked - that my 'til-then "training" method was likely to be the least successful ... rather than the most successful. So: "VIVA! the donor-communications revolution!!! ... but it's going to take longer than predicted." Not a great banner. I'm changing my style.
