... my shopping for explosive, irrelevant metaphors at the John Boehner store for "Why, I never?!?!!" Today, tan-alicious House Speaker Boehner said he was "flabbergasted" that the White House would honor a campaign promise that got President Obama and many other moderates elected or re-elected. "You can't be serious," chirped Rep. Boehner, referring to negotiations re: the "fiscal cliff." Tax America's rich as they formerly were taxed? Why I never?!?! Simone and I PRAY, as we did throughout Mitt Romney's campaign, that John Boehner just keeps talking. Shout it, Brother!!! So long as Republicans verbalize their innermost thoughts, they lose support. Because not everybody's crazy selfish. Because most people want a better world ... yes, for themselves ... but also for others (their communities, customers, colleagues, kids, neighbors, students, relatives, the needy, and friends) ... not just for the immaculate, untouchable, global 1%; who can easily afford legions of lawyers, financial advisers, lobbyists and (sigh) politicians to fight their battles and save them.
